Jorge A. Villegas

Partner and CEO since the foundation of the firm in 1996, where he has lead hundreds of projects both in mergers and acquisitions and in corporate finance.

Prior to founding SBI, Mr. Villegas was Specialist in Investment Banking and Corporate Banking Manager for Citibank Colombia (1992 to 1994). He also worked for C.I. Banacol as Assistant Financial VP and for Banco Cafetero where he was Regional Credit Manager.

Mr. Villegas is a Specialist in Management and Administration graduated from Harvard University (1995), a Specialist in Corporate Finance from EAFIT University (1992), and a Civil Engineer from Escuela de Ingeniería de Antioquia where he graduated first in the Honor Roll in 1987.

He has taught graduate courses in finance at the Universidad Industrial de Santander (UIS) and Universidad del Norte.

He's also a founding member of the Excellence Program at Escuela de Ingeniería de Antioquia.

He?s member of the board of directors of West Química, Garantías Comunitarias and Arconsa.

Alejandro Gómez

Mr. Gomez is a founding partner who joined SBI full time in 2000, where he has lead hundreds of projects both in mergers and acquisitions and in corporate finance.

As Vice-President of Market Development for the Bogotá Stock Exchange (1999-2000), he worked on the promotion of investment funds, public debt and derivatives among other markets. He was Financial Vice-President for Cementos Paz del Río S.A. (1996-1999). As Investment Banking Managing Director in SUVALOR (1992-1996). He also worked in the insurance business for four years and in the field of engineering, he practiced structural analysis for two years.

Mr. Gomez is a Specialist in Corporate Finance from Eafit University (1992) and a Civil Engineer from The University of Texas at Austin (1986) where he was named in the National Dean's List and the Engineering Honor Roll.

He has taught graduate courses in finance at Eafit University in Medellín and at Universidad Industrial de Santander (UIS).

He's a member of the board of directors of ConConcreto, Procecal (subsidiary of the multinational corporation Carmeuse), West Química and INMEL.

Nicolas Posada, CFA

Project Director at SBI since January 2020, where he began his career as an Intern and then continued to work as a full-time Analyst while completing his university studies. During the almost three years that he has worked at SBI, he has participated in several assignments of project evaluation, company valuation, acquisitions and company sales projects.

He is a Specialist in Corporate Finance and a Management Engineer from the EIA University (formerly Escuela de Ingeniería de Antioquía). Additionally, he has an Investment Banking Certification from the New York Institute of Finance.
